The 8th annual Carlisle Skills Fair hosted by John Stevenson MP is set to go ahead on Thursday 27th January, 2.30-6.30pm at Carlisle College. Over 50 local employers and education, training and skills providers are set to attend. This is the largest number of employers and skills providers from the Carlisle area under one roof, since 2020.
Speaking John said, “The clock striking midnight on New Year’s Eve often turns thoughts to a fresh start and a time for change in the year ahead. For some this may be the first steps on a career path, with a training course or an apprenticeship programme. For others it may be a change of workplace or a change of job and for some it may be the first steps to returning to work following a career break.
I would encourage anyone who is interested in new opportunities in the local area, to attend to find out more.”
You can also visit the Carlisle Skills Fair website to read about the event and sign up.

I attended the Skills Fair in my capacity as a volunteer STEM Ambassador. Let’s hope young people take up jobs with many organisations that exhibited.
Thank you.
