The Northern Research Group is a group founded by a number of Conservative MPs in the United Kingdom who were elected to represent constituencies in the north of England. Wales and the Scottish Borders in the 2019 General Election to pressure government for greater investment in the north.
The first conference for the group will be held in Doncaster next month and will bring together representatives from Government, MPs, local business leaders, councillors, policy experts and representatives from the third sector. The theme will be Levelling Up the North and discussion will be focussed around the opportunities that the levelling up agenda presents for communities.
