John Stevenson MP was officially sworn in at Parliament on Wednesday 21st June for his third term in office after being successfully re-elected at the General Election.
Members of Parliament are required to take an oath of allegiance to the Crown after a general election in order to take their seats, speak in debates or vote.
John said:
“I am honoured to have been re-elected as the Member of Parliament for Carlisle and I would like to thank the people of Carlisle for the continued support they have shown me.
“Regardless of party politics, I look forward to working hard in both Westminster and Carlisle on behalf of all of my constituents.”
