Carlisle MP, John Stevenson, was invited recently to this year’s National Citizen Service programme.
Mr Stevenson met with a number of young people for a chat about their experience of the NCS programme, their plans for the future and whether they were planning on staying in Carlisle.
John said:
“The National Citizen Service is a very important programme which equips young people with the vital skills and confidence that they need to thrive in life.
“It was great to hear about the new challenges they have faced and conquered this year, as in previous years when I have been asked to visit the NCS programme.
“I am pleased that this scheme has been so popular. It shows that these young people want to make a positive difference to society and the communities they live in.”
