Buzz Bingo is a popular bingo hall in Carlisle and as restrictions have eased Buzz Bingo has seen a steady increase in customers returning to the game, as safety measures have been put in place and confidence has grown through the vaccination programme.
National Bingo Day was first established in the United States, and this is the first year it has been launched in the UK. The Bingo Association has already been successful in gaining the support of all land-based bingo halls for the event and a large number of online operators, with the aim of celebrating the love of the game, the positive benefits playing brings its customers, and the sense it has of connecting communities across the country. In addition, the Bingo Association is hoping to raise £15,000 on the day for Variety: The Children’s Charity.
John said ‘Buzz Bingo is at the heart of the community in Carlisle and I was delighted to meet the staff and some of the customers. Playing bingo has many positive benefits from enhancing memory and cognitive skills to elevating mood and it was great to see so many people enjoying themselves. I’m pleased to lend National Bingo Day my support.’
