Carlisle MP, John Stevenson, will be meeting with Keith Ashcroft, the Area Manager for Cumbria and Lancashire at the Environment Agency.
The meeting will be used to discuss the impact of last year’s flooding on Carlisle, the repair work that has been carried out and the launch of the Environment Agency’s Flood Action Campaign to make sure that people in Carlisle are prepared and better-protected for this winter.
John said:
“I think it is vital that people are given the necessary support and guidance to enable them to be prepared for winter and the risk of flooding given the devastating effects if the flooding in Carlisle last year.
“I will use this meeting to raise my ongoing concerns and as an update to any issues that the EA has already identified in Carlisle.”
The meeting is taking place on the 24th November.
