John Stevenson MP will be attending the Graduation Ceremony of the popular and successful Carlisle United National Citizen Service scheme.
The NCS programme gives 15 to 17 year olds the chance to take on new challenges, develop new skills and meet new people. The Government funded scheme has been commended by businesses wanting young people to be work ready.
John Stevenson MP said:
“I am delighted to have been invited to speak at this graduation ceremony.
“The NCS programme plays a very important role in preparing young people for the world of work. It gives them the opportunity to gain vital skills and take on new challenges.
“I am pleased that this scheme has been so popular. It shows that these young people are a credit to our society.”
The NCS Graduation Ceremony will be taking place at Foxy’s Restaurant on Thursday the 24th November.
