John Stevenson MP for Carlisle will be meeting with senior school head teachers on Friday to see the damage that has been caused to schools in Carlisle.
John will meet head teachers from Trinity School, Newman Catholic School and Richard Rose Central Academy to discuss the damage at 1pm, Friday 11th December 2015.
John has already written to Nicky Morgan, Secretary of State for Education to alert her to the damage that has been caused to these schools.
John said ‘It is important that the damage to these schools is repaired as a matter of urgency so that children are able to return to school. With exams coming up in the next few months, it is imperative that these schools return to normal as quickly as possible.
I will be continuing discussions with the head teachers and ministers at Department for Education in the coming weeks to ensure that all that can be done is being done to get these children back to school.’
