Carlisle MP John Stevenson has met with the Chancellor of the Exchequer, Phillip Hammond, to discuss the A69.
Following his representations to the previous Chancellor, John has once again highlighted the importance of this road to people in the North.
John said, “The importance of the A69 cannot be underestimated and it was vital that I met with the Chancellor so that this issue remains on the Government’s radar.
MPs in this region have campaigned on behalf of constituents for a number of years for improvements to be made to the A69. We have already secured a feasibility study and we will continue to make representations to government regarding this important issue.”
