The National Lottery Heritage Fund has today awarded £98,700 to Cumbria’s Museum Of Military Life in Carlisle. The resilience project will run for three and a half years from November 2021 and is aimed at providing the basis for a more sustainable future for Cumbria’s Museum of Military Life in Carlisle.
Commenting John said, ‘This is very welcome news for Carlisle. The Museum of Military Life plays a vital role in the history of the city, telling the 300 year story of the county’s Infantry Regiment and it’s solders past and present through exhibitions, documents, photographs and artefacts. It is well worth a visit. This funding will enable the museum to become more sustainable as it looks to the future and recovers from the impact of the pandemic. I am delighted to see yet more Government investment in to the heart of our City.’
