John Stevenson, MP for Carlisle, visited the Nestlé factory in Dalston last Friday to meet with the current employees and apprentices, and to see the investment that has recently been spent on the factory.
John said, “It was lovely to meet with the employees and apprentices and hear about their experience of working for Nestlé and their experience of the apprenticeships on offer.
I also thoroughly enjoyed the tour of the factory to see the investment that has recently been made into the factory.
It is great to see big companies such as Nestlé investing in the factory and in local people.’’
Factory Manager, Euan Horman said: “It was an honour to showcase our factory to Mr Stevenson once again. This was a great opportunity to show our local MP a proud and thriving workforce within the heart of his constituency. The visit allowed us to demonstrate the advancement of our site and discuss policy priorities. Furthermore, the chance to introduce Mr Stevenson directly to our team of valued apprentices was deeply appreciated by all.”
