On Friday 9th December, John Stevenson MP spoke at the Cumbrian Dairy Consortium Entrepreneurs Event ahead of discussions aimed to attract and stimulate investment into local dairy processing within Cumbria.
The event was attended by existing dairy farmers and processors who are interested in expanding, and investors wanting to support the development of new dairy business.
John said:
“Economic growth in our area is vital, so I am very encouraged by the organisation of this event.
“Our local dairy industry has strong foundations which can be utilised to grow and succeed in this area. I was pleased to see such a high turnout at this event and such a positive atmosphere.”
The event took place at the Lakes Distillery, Bassenthwaite Lake on 9th December between 10.00am and 2.00pm.
