Neil Parish MP, the Chair of the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs Select Committee, will be visiting Carlisle on 13th April to speak to farmers and other members of the agri-business industry about their concerns.
The Environment, Food and Rural Affairs Select Committee exists to scrutinise the running of the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) and its associated public bodies.
Neil Parish MP still lives on his family farm and is keen to hear from all sectors of the agriculture industry.
“I am pleased that Neil Parish will be visiting Carlisle to speak to farmers, as agriculture plays a huge role in our county.
“I always appreciate the chance to hear about the current issues that are facing my constituents. This will be a great opportunity to meet with farmers and agri-businesses to do that.”
The meeting will take place on Thursday 13 April 2017 at 10.00am in the Boardroom at H&H Borderway Mart.
