John Stevenson MP will be organising and hosting Carlisle Skills Fair at The Sands Centre on Thursday 26th January 2017 from 2-7pm.
After the success of the previous three Carlisle Skills Fairs, preparations are underway once again to give young people and job seekers the opportunity to meet with training providers and businesses based in and around Cumbria.
John said:
“Carlisle Skills Fair has been a successful way of highlighting the skills and training opportunities available in the area. It also helps to makes local people aware of the opportunities that are on their doorsteps.
“We have some very bright and talented people in Carlisle. The skills fair shows that they don’t have to leave the area to gain good qualifications or get a good job.
“The support given to the event by training providers, businesses, parents, young people and those looking for training and job opportunities, has been immensely positive.”
There will be representation from a number of businesses and training providers based in Carlisle. Whether attendees are interested in apprenticeships, degrees or going straight into work. There will be representatives on hand to discuss the opportunities available.
