John Stevenson MP chaired a meeting in Parliament with food and drink industry representatives from the Nordic countries to discuss opportunities in the food and drink sector in the Nordic and Baltic markets.
The meeting was in association with the Food and Drink Federation (FDF), the Department for International Trade and Trade and Investment Envoy for the Nordic and Baltic countries, Mark Prisk MP.
As Chairman of the APPG for Food & Drink Manufacturing, Mr Stevenson said:
“I was pleased to chair yesterday’s meeting with food and drink industry representatives from the Nordic countries. With a concentration of food and drink manufacturers in Carlisle, it is important that we discuss the challenges for businesses post Brexit and look at alternatives for export growth.
“It was interesting to hear more about market entry and trading with a non-EU market, and to lead the discussion on the opportunities in the Nordic-Baltic region in this industry.”
