There has been much discussion about the new proposal from the Coalition Government on support for the regions. Following the budget it is envisaged that there will be a Regional Growth Fund and Local Enterprise Partnerships (LEP). The LEP are to be made up of local politicians and local businesses. The House of Commons has just agreed to allow the UK Youth Parliament to hold a debate in the Chamber. This is very unusual but such a debate was permitted in the last Parliament.
