John Stevenson MP for Carlisle will be hosting the Minister with responsibility for Exports, Lord Green and other UKTI representatives, when they visit Carlisle on 2nd July.
The minister will speak to businesses about export opportunities at a lunchtime reception before going to Dalston to have a tour of the Nestle Factory.
John said ‘Lord Green has done some exceptional work through UKTI, promoting British products to the rest of the world. It is important that British companies are given the skills and support to export their goods to other countries. I am very pleased to have some excellent exporters in Carlisle such as Clark Doors, Linton Tweeds and Bendalls Engineering; all of which are experiencing success through the export side of their business.
I do hope that the lunchtime event, which is being sponsored by Nestle, encourages companies who have considered exporting their products to explore export opportunities further and that those who do currently export are reaching their full potential.’
